The Awards for Excellence event honors teams and individual employees not only for outstanding performances, but also for how those performances were achieved. The nominated projects are evaluated according to their success in the following areas: change process and business priorities (at group and division level); teamwork and cross-functional/cross-division collaboration; sustainability and transferability. The projects must have already been implemented, demonstrate significant impact on business, have delivered quantifiable added value, and be associated with outstanding teamwork. The final presented nine qualified projects that had made the grade from over 300 entries submitted.

This was the second time we had realized the event concept, working with Infotainment München. As well as supplying all technology for the individual studios, we were also responsible for providing content. Our stage set-up was a real highlight: In order to incorporate the Eddy Miller Band, the Airbus Award, and all participants in the awards ceremony, we designed three connected stage segments of different heights. A concave backdrop formed a curved projection screen, displaying content across the entire width of the stage.
