Sonepar is committed to working with partners from the electrical retail industry and trade to throw open a view of the future: What’s so smart about smart homes? What’s behind Industry 4.0, the Fourth Industrial Revolution? How to connect worlds, how to renew energies? How do customers and partners benefit from all those trends? And can those trends be used to develop a company?

A truck will house an innovation lab where customers and partners can take a look behind the scenes of the megatrends in the field of smart home technologies. The lab is packed with innovations, high-tech kit, and exciting experiences, and will tour Europe on a roadshow. As a showcase of the technologies that await us in the future, and the ones already available to us today.

LIMELIGHT was privileged to take a deep dive into the technology concept of this digital experience, and pulled out all the high-tech stops. What an incredible project! The articulated truck contains a series of stations from a screen wall, multi-touch table, and LED ceiling to an Oculus Rift VR headset and a shift screen. After implementation of the project, we are now responsible for service and support of the InnovationLab.
