Every year, the Serviceplan Group, GfK, ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE, WirtschaftsWoche, Markenverband, DIE ZEIT, and Ströer hold the Best Brands Gala at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. Over 600 invited guests from business, retail, and media attend the event, which has become a highlight for the marketing industry and is acclaimed as the Oscar of German brands. It is a showcase for “best brands” - brands that inspire emotions as well as being successful businesses. 

The 14th awards ceremony, held in February 2017, was opened by the editor-in-chief of DIE ZEIT, Giovanni di Lorenzo. Presented by Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, the program featured superstar singer Anastacia as the show act.
